Participants gain a greater understanding of community and enjoy the benefits of camping in spectacular locations.
YMCA camps are safe, welcoming environments. They enhance individual health and wellbeing, strengthen communities and connect participants with the natural world.
Camping programs are individually tailored for:
- special interest groups
- disability groups
- CALD community groups
- corporate groups
- school holiday camps
Programs are customised for each group, with your objectives and desired learning outcomes identified during the initial planning.
There are a range of activities on offer, depending on the campsite, with all activities being based on the “challenge by choice” principal.
There are seven camps across Victoria at varied and spectacular locations :
- Anglesea Recreation Camp
- Camp Manyung
- Howmans Gap Alpine Centre
- Lady Northcote Recreation Camp
- Lake Dewar Lodge YMCA
- Mt Evelyn Recreation Camp
- Phillip Island Coastal Discovery Camp
YMCA Victoria proudly manages five camps in Victoria on behalf of the State Government of Victoria.
We welcome and work proactively with the wider community, especially disadvantaged and culturally diverse communities in Victoria to experience a unique camping adventure.
There is a strong focus on healthy eating, environmentalism and recycling across all aspects of the camping experience.
