We have childcare jobs in locations such as Bendigo and Torquay, as well as the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne, and the south-eastern suburbs such as Cranbourne and Pakenham.

We’re recruiting for a range of full-time and part-time early learning jobs across our centres, so you could find a job close to home!

Early learning educator jobs

A career with the Y is more than just a childcare job – you'll get to share your knowledge with children and help them have a great learning experience.

What does an Early Childhood Educator at the Y do? Your day may include planning programs, presenting lessons and supporting children with their daily routines. You’ll nurture their curiosity and promote their overall learning and development.

Early childhood educator skills

We’re looking for experienced Educators with a flair for building positive relationships and a willingness to grow professionally. You should be passionate about working with children and families, and treat every child’s health as a top priority.

Early Childhood Educators must have a Certificate III qualification or a Diploma in Early Childhood / Children’s services, as well as First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications.

Early Childhood Teacher jobs

Looking for kindergarten teacher jobs? We’re recruiting enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Early Childhood Teachers to deliver kindergarten programs for three to five-year-olds.

You’ll use your expertise to help our little learners reach their full potential. You’ll also encourage their independence, confidence and love for learning – setting them up for a bright future at school and beyond.

Early Childhood Teacher qualifications 

Early Childhood Teachers must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (or equivalent). You must also have VIT Registration, a First Aid and CPR certification, and an Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification.

Childcare cook jobs

Can you cook up a storm in the kitchen? We’re searching for qualified On-site Chefs to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children at our early learning centres.

As an On-site Chef, you’ll know how to design a menu that’s both healthy, delicious and culturally appropriate. That way, we can ensure we meet the needs of large groups and individual children.

On-site Chef skills and qualifications

As well as cooking up healthy and delicious meals, our On-site Chefs must have a great understanding of maintaining health standards and regulations in the kitchen. You’ll also need to have a Food Safety Supervisor certification and a relevant hospitality qualification.
